After preliminary review and assessment, the experts must point out issues related to documented information and the practical application of ISO 22000 that need to be rectified so that the business can make timely corrections. This preliminary assessment step is very beneficial for the business as it serves as a guiding framework for the official assessment step.

– At the end of the on-site inspection, the audit team will hold a closing meeting, where the business will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the findings.
– The facility is granted ISO 22000 certification if all documented information is consistent with reality and all non-conformities have been adequately rectified and confirmed by the lead auditor.
