Improve quality with ISO 9001:2015

Recently, GOOD Vietnam has completed the assessment and certification of ISO 9001:2015 with a systematic and in-depth roadmap:

Register and prepare for assessment

The enterprise contacts and signs a contract with an accredited certification body (CB) .
The two parties agree on the scope of certification, assessment location and make a specific plan.
The enterprise provides quality management system (QMS) documents for the certification organization to review.

2. Phase 1 Assessment

The certification body evaluates the documents of the ISO 9001 system:
- Quality manual, policy, quality objectives
- Procedures, work instructions, forms
- Practical application records (internal reports, internal assessments, corrective actions…)
Check your readiness for a formal assessment.
Detect any non-conformities (if any) and require the business to correct them before phase 2.

3. Phase 2 Assessment

The assessment team comes directly to the factory/production workshop to:
- Interview leaders, managers and relevant personnel
- Observe actual activities: production, quality control, warehousing, delivery…
- Check QMS compliance with ISO 9001:2015.
Record strengths, weaknesses and opportunities (if any).

4. Reporting and handling non-conformances

After the assessment, the certification body prepares a comprehensive assessment report.
If there is a nonconformity (NC):
- Businesses need to submit a corrective action report (CAPA) within the prescribed time (usually 30 days).
- The certification body reviews the effectiveness of the corrective action.

5. ISO 9001:2015 certification

If the enterprise fully meets the requirements, the certification organization will issue an ISO 9001:2015 certificate, valid for 3 years.
The certificate specifies the scope of application and location of application.
